President Obama paid a visit to the Desmond Tutu HIV Foundation Youth Centre in Masiphumelele in the South Peninsula where he heard first-hand the impact of the President’s Emergency Plan for Aids relief (PEPFAR) from South Africans who have been affected by HIV and Aids.  

Thousands of youths from all over the country have been left high and dry after the Social Development Department allegedly failed to secure a venue for a youth camp, which was supposed to take place at Richards Bay in KwaZulu-Natal.
